How it works.
9Round is "Circuit Style" which means that unlike a class, it is in operation the entire time we are open.   Members can come in any time and can start their workout as soon as they are ready.   There is a timer that is visual and audible in the club.  When the timer light is green, the round is in play for 2 and a half minutes.  When it turns yellow, it means the round has 30 seconds left, and when it turns red, it's time to move to the next round!  That way, everyone is moving together and there is never a wait for equipment to become available unlike a conventional gym.  In 30 minutes you will complete your workout!

Sumit has been a Trainer at 9Round Mt. View for 5 years.  He is a competitive kickboxer and has a passion for sharing the sport with others.  He is patient, fun, energetic and loves to help people achieve their fitness goals and improve their kickboxing skills.​

​Sr, Trainer

Melisa has been training in boxing and kickboxing for 6 years, and teaching boot camps for over 15 years. She has a passion for working out, meeting people, traveling and having fun!  She loves to help others achieve their fitness goals while showing proper form. Making the gym part of your routine in life is a lifestyle change!  So keep moving! ​

Club Owner 

Brant is the Club Owner and fell in love with 9Round while traveling out of state. Frustrated with boring treadmill work, he ventured next door to his hotel and discovered 9Round which as clearly been a life changing event!  Brant has been a fitness fanatic since college where he trained extensively with his triathlete roommates, cycling, swimming and running in Santa Barbara and Ventura.  As an avid windsurfer and local sailor, Brant came to appreciate the advantages of cross training for both strength and endurance.  Brant's favorite saying and guiding principle is "If you want to positively change your life; Positively change the lives of as many others as you can."

Sr. Trainer

Sandy has been training in boxing for ten years and has trained with numerous coaches in gyms accross the US, Taiwan, and Hungary.  She has one fight under her belt and is always eager to help both new and experienced members reach their fitness goals and walk away from the gym each day after learning something new!
