​Below you will find some FAQ's for New Members.  Feel free to explore the site as well.  You can (and should!) sign up for the Commit to Fit Program as well.  We'll help you build a success plan and then track along with you as you progress in your fitness program. 
Hello and Welcome!  This is Brant from 9Round. I just wanted to extend a warm Welcome to the Club and to thank you for joining the "9Round Nation"! 

Please feel free to explore this website with two pages you should visit in particular:
1. The Commit to Fit Program page.  This is a free benefit for new members and will really help you get the most out of your membership!
2. The Members page where you can manage your membership (Freeze options etc...) That is the place to manage your contract officially! The forms there link directly to our processing team. While you can certainly share your plans with your trainer, they do not have the ability to update your official 9round contract, so be sure to use the website for that purpose.  


Some FAQ's that may help you out as a new member
How often should I come in?
As a general rule coming once or twice a week will help you maintain your current fitness level. Coming 2-3 times will be a sustainable way to improve your physique over time depending on where you started. 3+ visits per week will drive gains and you will see results quickly. Another recommended approach is to hit it hard for a week or two and then go into a sustain mode for an equal duration and stair step your gains over time. We have every kind of member, from once a week to every day! The good news is that with your unlimited membership, the choice is yours.

Can I do the workout twice when I'm there?
Absolutely. If you can handle it physically, you're welcome to hit it as hard as you want. You can also do a "12 rounder" where you tack on an extra 3 rounds. I have to say that it's rare to see it happen as a fully engaged 9Round workout can be intense and the more fit you are the more intensity you bring! But again the choice is yours.

Will I be sore after working out?
Most likely you will in the beginning. Especially if you are new to 9Round and HIIT training or if you have not been working out strenuously previously. Those who work out regularly talk about this as "A good kind of sore!" And we mean it! It means you have challenged your body in a way that it was unable to handle at your current level of strength and fitness and it can only respond by making you stronger and more fit! Over time you will stop being sore unless you up the level of effort suddenly.

How long should I wait to come in after a workout?
We recommend coming in the day after you have recovered and are generally free from soreness. This is the soonest you can be confident you have recovered enough to ensure you'll be making progress. Two days after is even better. If you know you'll be out a couple of days then you can hit it hard before that as you'll have more time to recover later. I always make sure I'm nice and sore before I travel! But that's just me. ")

How much kickboxing am I going to learn?
You will learn basic Kickboxing form and technique, but we will not generally teach you how to fight and you won't be doing any combat at this club. That said, the trainers are generally avid Kickboxers and love to teach it. So if you let them know your interest level they will be happy to continue to teach you kickboxing technique as you progress.

Will I lose weight?
Yes for sure! Depending on how often you come in, you will be adding a 300 to 600 calorie burn to any day you come do the workout. Moreover, you will be transforming your body into a calorie burning machine vs a calorie storage machine as you get more fit. These things go hand in hand. And it's not at all uncommon for a healthy interest in eating better to soon follow. BUT as I used to say to myself when I was a runner, "You can't outrun your fork" which means, you can do more damage at the refrigerator in 5 minutes than you can make up for at the gym. So combining your 9Round workout schedule with healthy eating is an incredibly effective way to lose weight, gain strength and get that body you know is "In there somewhere!" We love to talk about this, so feel free to ask us about nutrition. There are also nutrition resources within your member portal that are included with your membership! Check those out!


The 9Round workout
  • Nothing beats fighting for total body and mind engagement for fitness! But don't worry - You'll only be fighting our equipment and it won't hit back.
    • 9Round is a 30 min - full body circuit style boxing/kickboxing workout. Our workouts are designed by fitness experts to keep you and your body in a state of change! We have a new workout every day across all 9 Rounds!
    • You'll burn 300-600 calories in just 30 min. Try that on your own at the local big box gym or at home!
    • There are 9 stations with timed 3 minute exercise routines at each station on a wide variety of equipment. This includes heavy bags, a speed bag, weights, jump ropes, a horizontal bag and a large round medicine ball.
    • There are no class times! It starts when you arrive so you can't be late!
    • Your Trainer is included and will be always b there to guide and motivate you!
    • No discipline required! All you need to do is show up and WE will do the rest!
    • This works! We have over 100 members still with us since 2018 because this is so much fun, is so engaging and so effective at transforming your body into a firmer, fitter, stronger more energetic and healthier version of you!
